"Nine Artists in the third dimension" Collective exhibition

Whoops!! It sounds like a sci-fi movie, mysterious, galactic, black and white television series… No, it is nothing like that. This is a group exhibition of nine sculptors who present a selection of their recent sculptures. Why nine? Is it something symbolic, numeric? No, it's not that either. These are nine sculptors with whom 3 Punts Galeria works continuously and with a mutual understanding. Don't make me explain the third dimension thing ...

These sculptors, whose exhibitions in galleries, foundations and museums have been postponed. Who have not been able to show their works at canceled international fairs. Who do not know, like the rest of the world, when they will be able to see their name written on an invitation with a date to show their works to the public. These sculptors have continued to work in their studios.

And the fact is that creativity cannot be put on lockdown, neither can the need to put ideas and thoughts on physical support. The need to create something beautiful, unique and personal cannot be put on lockdown. Something that only you are capable of expressing in a concrete way.

That is why these visual artists have continued to create works in their studios that we think are truly exceptional. It would take too long to analyze why, during this very long and unbearable pandemic, these artists have created perhaps their most interesting works. And more personal ones. Even more impressive ethically and formally, and sometimes reaching unique levels of excellence or reaching the sublime.

And why now?

Because we have witnessed how their works evolved and how they have coincided in time in a way that someone could explain (not us), like a kind of collective mind or unconscious (thank you Jung). And how they have managed to surprise those of us who sometimes think no work of art can surprise us like this anymore.

Dear friends, we do not know if circumstances will allow you to visit this exceptional exhibition in the gallery. At the moment, we are still open in our usual opening hours. That is why we are sending you this dossier with all the exhibited works. That is why you can see them on our website www.3punts.com where you will also find a link to make a virtual visit (we are all adapting to these new times) so that you can have a more similar experience to a real visit to the gallery.
