Efraïm Rodríguez
Press release
3 Punts Gallery presents "Domestic Wild", a solo exhibition of the artist settled in Granollers EFRAÏM RODRÍGUEZ (Valencia, 1971) which contains twenty medium and large format sculptures.
Rodríguez continues exploring the theme of childhood characters, and gives in this show prominence to woodwork. Created from cuts or assembly of different types of wood (beech, cedar, walnut, oak ...), the artist combines in his works the strong presence of the materials and a meticulous technique, which brings a richness of texture and nuances.
Efraïm Rodríguez’ sculptures convey innocence, delicacy and, although they are realistic, one can sense a surreal touch, as if the imagination of the children were part of the process, especially evident in the elements that surround them, or from which they seem to emerge.
