Antonella Montes - LANTOMO
CV - Biography:
Rome - 1977
Pseudonym of Antonella Montes, she is an Italian artist based in Barcelona.
Her passion for drawing, inherited from her mother, has been a constant throughout her career. She studied Architecture in Italy, in Rome and Genoa, and later moved to Spain, where she specialized in scenography and exhibition design. Since 2010, she has been fully dedicated to painting, consolidating a practice rooted in drawing.
Her nearly two-year stay in Beijing (China) marked a turning point in her work. From that moment on, her drawings became more precise and detailed, with a reduced palette of black and white, punctuated by subtle touches of red. The depicted faces also began to incorporate Asian-influenced features.
Since then, she has developed an international career, with solo exhibitions in Barcelona and Beijing, as well as continuous participation in art fairs and group exhibitions.
