Segovia - 1975

Alberto David Fernández Hurtado (Segovia, 1975) is an artist whose work explores the depths of human experience through a highly symbolic and atmospheric form of painting. His practice investigates emotional and psychological territories where the intimate becomes universal, developing a visual language centered on memory, instinct, and inner states.

He has received numerous distinctions in national painting competitions, including the First Prize at the ACOR National Painting Award.

His work is included in various public, institutional, and private collections.

 

DEEP FOREST

Deep Forest explores the forest as a metaphor for the inner territory. Through animal figures charged with symbolic resonance, the series investigates impulses, emotional states, and processes of transformation that belong to a profound and shared dimension of human experience.

The works inhabit an ambiguous space between consciousness and the unconscious, where the intimate also becomes a reflection of something collective and universal.

FORMAL LANGUAGE

The series unfolds through a painting practice marked by strong material presence and an immersive atmosphere, where glazes, transparencies, and spontaneous gestures interact with a precise compositional structure.

The image gradually emerges from the tension between chance and control, allowing the pictorial matter to retain the trace of the process and actively participate in the emotional construction of the work.

The aim is to create harmonious balances between chaos (chance) and order (structure), in parallel with a way of life that seeks to extend this principle into every realm.
